| | Description | When the blending button is pushed on the Smart-Touch technology digital touchpad, a preprogrammed cycle automatically speeds up and slows down to draw ingredients into the 29,000 rpm blade and thoroughly blend all the ingredients. It shuts off when the cycle is complete, so recipes will turn out perfect every time. The blending jar is our famous patented square jar design, just like our professional models used in U.S. coffee, juice, and restaurant chains, with a 64-ounce capacity and a one-year warranty. The patented two-prong stainless-steel blade carries a lifetime warranty. The blender has a powerful commercial-quality, 1,560 watt 3 HP direct-drive motor (model number E3) and comes with an ice-crushing guarantee and a three-year warranty on the motor and base. The Total Blender replaces these other kitchen appliances: Grain mill, juicer, bread machine, ice-cream maker, smoothie maker, blender, milkshake maker, coffee grinder, ice crusher. And it does the job better than the individual products, for a fraction of the cost. Material used : BPA free Copolyester. | |

Try an inexpensive blender first. Jul 17, 2010 I bought this because I had heard about raw soups and this was the blender to get. Plus all the reviews made it seem like it was a great buy.
First I was disappointed that I had to cut up all the vegetables. I guess after seeing all the PR about how powerful this blender is, I just assumed it would eat up the vegetables whole. I had actually put everything in whole, turned on the machine and nothing happened. The blades wouldn't cut through the whole vegs. I then removed everything, chopped it all up and put it back in and then the blades moved.
A friend sent me a recipe for a raw soup and I tried it out. It was really hard to get down, the soup was so awful, I kept wanting to gag. I kept trying to remove some of the ingredients that I thought were unappealing to me but its gotten to the point that just looking at the veggies makes me want to gag.
I invited a friend over and demo'ed the blender to her. She then went home and tried the same recipe on her $30 blender which worked just as well in pureeing the ingredients. She brought in a sample for me to see for myself. Needless to say, I was not too pleased to learn that a $30 blender works just as well as my $399 blender, especially since I can't bring myself to make any more raw soups. I just don't like the foamy texture.
I also tried the smoothies using frozen strawberries. The first push leaves large chunks. It takes two or three smoothie rounds to eliminate all the chunks. Oops, I just discovered the Ice Crush/Milkshake button which seems to work better than the smoothie button although I didn't have any frozen strawberries left to confirm with. I guess this machines isn't completely idiot proof - you have to actually read the labels on the buttons.
Also tried it to juice a lime. Didn't work very well. The pulp just flew up the sides and didn't get juiced by the blades. Once again, I haven't checked with the user manual. I'm still in the experimenting mode.
So if you're simply curious about raw soups, you might want to experiment with a less expensive blender before you make such a big investment on something you may not end up liking.
Simplicity for good eating. Jul 11, 2010 This blender is so easy to use and clean. That is my reason for purchasing this product.
I have some health problems from not eating correctly. I do not like to spend too much time cleaning up and preparing food. This handy item fits that criteria. I am on my way to a better life.

Best purchase we have made in years! Jun 25, 2010 We bought our Blendtec at Costco right before Christmas as an "early
Christmas gift" to ourselves. It has been one of the BEST purchases
we've ever made! We use it every single day for one thing or another.
Soups and juices for the most part but we're having fun seeing all the
ways we can use it. The recipe book that was included is fantastic,
healthy and YUMMY! We haven't made even one thing that we haven't fully
enjoyed. Today I was at lunch with my parents, sister, son and his
wife. I was trying to tell them (apparently too well!) how much we love
it and all the things we can do with it. They said nothing as I kept
saying one thing after another (Starbucks uses them, soup, whole juice,
bread, batters, syrups, etc.) with possibly TOO much excitement in my
voice. When I finally stopped they all laughed and said I sounded like
an infomercial! haha! I then said "well I guess maybe I do but I am
personally inviting you all over for lunch ANYtime and I can prove it to
you!" with a big smile. :) Buy this and you won't be disappointed!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Blendtec!! Jun 15, 2010 I couldn't believe that I was spending so much money on a blender when I bought this, but I had to try it after hearing from several friends how great it is! They weren't lying! I don't know how I ever lived without my Blendtec! I use it multiple times a day for all sorts of foods and I have never had a smoothie so smooth at home as I do now! LOVE IT!

Great product!! Does everything I want it to. Jun 07, 2010 I watched the Montel infomercial about a blender/emulsifier and thought it sounded great. When reviewing their product, I realized most people returned it due to inferior quality.
I then researched on the internet and realized it came down to Blendtec and Vitamix. Both received spectacular reviews, but I went with Blendtec because at the time QVC was selling it on FlexPay of 3 payments. With a product in the area of $400.00 that was great.
This product is incredible. I can throw whole fruits and vegetables right in without cutting into smaler pieces. Also ice and frozen foods are no problem. After using the Blendtec a few times you will know which type items go in the blender first and you will never have to stir or push down the food to get it to mix properly.
I have only had it about 10 days and have made several kinds of soup, smoothies, juices, and ice cream. For the first time in my life I am reaching and exceeding the recommended amount of servings of fruits and vegetables in My diet. Every morning I make a fruit smoothie and can put stuff like carrots, kale, spinach, broccoli, etc in it and only taste the fruit. An am taking fresh juice, home-made soup to work and loving it. Lost 4 pounds the first week and wasn't really dieting, just adding real foods to my diet.
I would recommend this product to everyone (especially people who are really picky about fruits and vegetables, like me).
