It Helped So Much Apr 02, 2010 I have two outside cats that would be considered ferrel cats. One was injured either in a fight or hit by a car. He can get around pretty well and I have barns, but with the weather so bad, it was difficult for him to go back and forth. So, I put a mini house on a potting bench next to my back door and hooked up this heater. We have had one of the worst winters in my memory, but these cats kept comfortable on this heating pad and I didn't have to worry about getting out in the snow to take them food. The other cat is very wild and I suspect she had never felt a warm place in the winter before, but she settled in immediately the first time she felt it. I risked life and limb trapping them and having them fixed so I don't have to worry about more wild cats either. I have another cat that will come in the house and eat and visit, but absolutely refuses to stay in at night. I am thinking about getting another heating pad for her. She and the other female won't share.
My cats love them Mar 15, 2010 We live in the country and have a few rescued cats that couldn't be housebroken. In order to keep them warm in the winter we use large clear Rubbermaid storage boxes and place these heaters inside. We keep them up on our porch out of the weather. The cats can see outside of their little homes and stay nice and warm. I would definitely buy these again.
Outdoor Kitty Pad Feb 21, 2010 This pad fitted perfectly in our outdoor cat house. We have one cat who comes and goes and we always would leave him water and food in the backyard. He quickly discovered that pad was staying warm and found his refuge for many windy cold nights that we had this year. Pad is built of sturdy hard plastic and comes with a soft fleece that is easy to take off and wash. We are thinking about buying one more like this one for our indoor cats.
Stays warm, great for inside a cat house. Feb 19, 2010
I have had this thing for about a month now, so am waiting to see how it holds up, but for now it's great. I liked the idea that it is a hard plastic, because to me that makes it seem stronger, and more durable than it's soft counterpart might be. It comes with a soft fleece-like cover, which I use, and also stick the cat's fluffy bed on top of it so when she's in the bed it stays extra toasty. I keep it plugged in- in her cat house, which is under a covered front porch- rain or shine 24 hours a day. Once the weather warms up I may pack it away. This item is great if you feed a stray that likes to hang out at your house.

Outdoor Heated Kitty Pad w/Fleece Cover Feb 12, 2010 I purchased this heated pad, along with heated bowl, for 1 of 4 feral cats I care for. The others will come inside, when necessary. 1 won't. This pad is in a doghouse. It's heated enough that, with the cat's body heat and it's heat, he stays toasty warm on very cold days. When he lets me pet him, after he's been on the mat, he's warm. I recommend this purchase. Some sort of shelter is recommended, as well.
